Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data Consultaix collects through this website and in the course of advisory work, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. Consultaix is established in Mauritius and handles personal data in line with the Data Protection Act 2017 of Mauritius. Where clients or their data are in other jurisdictions, we apply the stricter of the applicable rules.

What we collect and why

When you contact us

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, organisation, email address, the readiness stage you selected, and whatever you write in your message. We use this to reply to you and, if you become a client, to scope the engagement. The form on this site opens your own email client, so the message travels through your email provider, not through a server we operate.

When we work with you

During an engagement we may process the names, roles and contact details of your staff, and business information about your organisation, including responses to a readiness assessment. We process this to deliver the work you have engaged us for. Assessment responses are used to produce your report and placement on the AI Adoption Ladder™. We do not sell or share this data with anyone outside the engagement.

When you browse

This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies and does not track visitors across sites. Our web host may log IP addresses and request details for security and capacity purposes, as is standard. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a request to Google when the page loads; Google's font privacy statement describes what they receive.

Research

Consultaix's methodology is informed by doctoral research. Client data is never used in research outputs without a separate, written agreement, and any such use is anonymised.

Legal basis

We process contact data because you have asked us to respond. We process client data to perform the contract we have with your organisation. We keep records where the law requires it. Where none of these apply, we ask for your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Who sees your data

Consultaix is founder-led. Specialist advisors brought into an engagement see only what they need for their part of the work and are bound by confidentiality. We use ordinary business tools for email, documents and storage; the providers of those tools process data on our instructions. We do not transfer your data to anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 12 months. Engagement records are kept for the duration of the engagement and for seven years afterwards to meet accounting and professional obligations, then deleted. You can ask us to delete your data sooner, subject to those obligations.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act 2017 you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we process it, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Write to hello@consultaix.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Office of Mauritius at dataprotection.govmu.org.

Security

We keep personal data on access-controlled accounts with two-factor authentication, and we limit access to the people working on your engagement. No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

Changes

If this notice changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top and, for active clients, tell you directly.
